This Privacy Policy applies to the anonymous-access Public Website for J.D. How we protect your information
When using the Secure Website, all information is transmitted via Transport Layer Security (TLS) or Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology in an encrypted format. When using the Secure Website, ensure that your web browser displays the correct URL in the address bar (starting with https, not http), and that the digital identity of the website is certified by your web browser via the J.D. Fox Micro digital certificate. Only then can you assure that your information is encrypted, and that you are connected to the J.D. Fox Micro Secure Website and not an impostor.
Any personal financial information you supply, such as credit card numbers or banking information, is relayed directly to our payment gateway provider's database, only accessible by those authorized with special access rights to that database. Your personal financial information will not be stored on the J.D. Fox Micro website servers. The payment gateway provider is USA ePay®, Los Angeles, California.
Other information which is not financial or sensitive but is otherwise personally identifiable will be stored only in databases managed by J.D. Fox Micro, only accessible by those authorized with special access rights to such systems.
The J.D. Fox Micro Public Website does not collect any personal information, apart from anything you may choose to enter in the e-mail contact form on the Contact page.
How we use cookies
Cookies are small bits of information that your web browser and a website send back and forth every time you access a page, enabling the site to recognize your browser and capture or remember certain information. The J.D. Fox Micro Public Website uses cookies only for the following purposes:
1. To save information about the basic display capabilities of your device, derived from the User-Agent string your device sends, so the Websites can send pages to your computer, laptop, tablet, or mobile phone in a format that will best display on your particular device;
2. On the Contact page, to store any information you type into the web form to send an e-mail to J.D. Fox Micro. The Contact page cookie, and the information you enter in the web form, are destroyed immediately when the e-mail is sent, or if the browser is closed.
The J.D. Fox Micro Secure Website uses cookies for existing clients of J.D. Fox Micro to secure your individual login session. The cookies are set to expire in 20 minutes, and will be destroyed when you logout and close your browser window. The Websites do not use cookies for any other purpose. You can configure your web browser to decline cookies sent by the J.D. Fox Micro Secure Website, but this will prevent you from being able to log in.
Third-party information sharing
J.D. Fox Micro does not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information, except as necessary in the ordinary course of conducting business with you, and only so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may otherwise release your information when we believe this is appropriate to comply with the law or protect our rights, property, or safety. J.D. Fox Micro will never provide your personally identifiable information to third-party marketers. Non-personally identifiable visitor information (such as general location of visitors, pages visited, etc.) may be provided to other parties for general advertising, business analysis, or similar uses.
